QuickStart Guide
1. This is a quickstart guide for Tobu. It is highly recommended that you at
least look through the manual available at lightbird.net/tobu/ . This
guide is only meant as a helper/reminder if you already have a good
idea of what this program does.
2. This guide will be shown first time you start the program. You can
view it at any time by going to Help | QuickStart Guide.
3. Creating new item: enter Title, one or more tags separated by commas and
optonally, text in content area. Click Save button to store the item in
database.
4. Finding an item: enter up to four tags in filter entry boxes on
top. Click list or hit Ctrl-L. Select an item to view it in current
tab.
5. New button clears current tab and lets you enter a new item.
6. File | List Tags will show a list of all tags currently attached to
items.
7. To delete an item from database, right-click on it in the list and
choose delete. Warning: this is a permanent delete, not to be confused
with deletion from the current listing only.
8. To search for tags, type in several letters in one of the filter
boxes on top. If these letters match any existing tag, a drop down
menu will appear with all matches.
9. You can sort the list view by any tag by clicking on the column title.
10. You can save a combination of filter tags as a 'view'. This is
simply a shortcut that lets you access the list quickly - it's exactly
the same as typing in the tags manually. To save a view, input one or
more tags in filter boxes, Go to Views | Save and type in a name for
your View. To load a view, choose it from Views menu. To delete a
view, go to Views | Delete.
11. Sortable tags allow you to sort list by values of specified tags.
For instance, your tag may be given as price:100. If you have a few
items with price:.. tags, you can click on price column title and the
list will be sorted by price values. You can have multiple sortable
tags in any item.
